DINFOAVT is a program to convert your DORINFO?.DEF file for compatibility with
BBS Door programs not supporting the RemoteAccess 1.00 DORINFO?.DEF structure.
DINFOAVT+ 1.00 (November, 1990)
──────────────
Originally written in November 1990 with the advent of RemoteAccess 1.00/b-5.
RA 1.00/beta-5 was the initial version with AVATAR support. DINFOAVT+ 1.00
was initially distributed to the RA_BETA team for I discovered some doors
didn't like the new AVATAR codes in DORINFO?.DEF.
WhatsNew with DINFOAVT+ 2.00 (February 1991)
────────────────────────────
* now converts code 2 (AVATAR only) to 0 (ASCII/TTY) for full compatibility.
* added /IO switch for Doors not updating DORINFO?.DEF when done.
* made the displays a little 'smarter' since I know what the contents are.
WhatsNew with DINFOAVT+ 3.00 (April 1991)
────────────────────────────
* added /d command to display contents of the DORINFO?.DEF file.
* display compatibility of DORINFO?.DEF File (RA 0.04/RA 1.00).
* removed restriction to not re-archive the files. <sigh>
* updated program and documentation with my NEW node number, 1:2270/233.
The DINFOAVT+ 3.00 program comes in 2 flavors. The Dinfoavt.Exe is an
808X XT version, and the Diavt286.Exe is the 80X86 (286/386/486) AT version.
If you are going to use the 286 version, just delete the Dinfoavt.Exe file
and rename the Diavt286.Exe file to Dinfoavt.Exe. The DINFOAVT+ 3.00 80X86
version displays "DINFOAVT+ 3.00 (286)" in the logo so you will know which
version you are running.
The latest version can always be obtained by using the magicname DINFOAVT when
using File Requests with your Mailer if you are a FIDONET node from the
following systems:
The Gateway Net BBS - 1:2270/233.0@fidonet - HST/V.32bis/V.42bis
The Boomtown BBS - 1:2270/868.0@fidonet - HST/V.32bis/V.42bis
It will also be available at an SDS Node near you under SDSRA.
Please read Dinfoavt.Doc for additional details of my program.
thanks ... Geoff
